Save the date — Thursday, March 31 at 1 pm — for our next luncheon at Blue Sky Tavern, 895 Old Trail Rd, Goldsboro, PA 17319, (717) 822-0500. (Thanks, Frani Gaudio Jacobs!)
We have the “Saloon” booked which is downstairs. And here’s an oxymoron: their Chicken and Waffles is one of the favorites.
So let’s welcome in spring together. As always I will call a week before with a count. Hope to see you there.
To suggest a future get-together, please contact Andrea.

Blue Sky Tavern is an easy downshift off of I-83 on Old Trail Road. This rustic, popular drinking hole attracts a lively bar scene. Head downstairs to the cavernous saloon framed by exposed stone walls and dark wooden beam details. High bar seats line up at the counter opposite numerous draft and craft beer selections.
From the extensive American pub fare menu, the go-to picks are the Angus burgers, like the “Yo Mamma” burger made with bacon and peanut butter and colossal, crisply fried and battered onion rings. Steer away from the crab cake sandwich with flaky crab bits, and the “Just Left Chicago” cheesesteak, which is laced with pickled veggies.
