Birthday Party at Dukes

We signed the contract for Sept. 16th at Duke’s, so mark your calendars for our 75th Birthday Party.

Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023

Tailgate at the McDevitt/Palymra football game (the Thin Blue Line game honoring the police and first responders). 

Plans are set, weather will cooperate (bring a jacket), 75 year olds will descend upon Harrisburg, OH MY! The game should be awesome.  McDevitt is a powerhouse this year. 

If you’re interested, we will meet for a light dinner around 5 at O’Reilly’s Tap Room and Kitchen, 800 E Park Dr, Harrisburg.  If not, we will be in the second section of the bleachers. Let me know (717-571-1747) if you are coming so we can look out for you.  Bring a jacket; it’s going down to the 50s.

Friday, Sept. 15, 2023

• Outside movie “The Sound Of Music” which couldn’t happen until dark.

Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, 1–5 pm

Buffet/cake/catching up/maybe some surprises at DUKE’S BAR & GRILLE, 313 South Front St., Wormleysburg, PA 17043, (717) 737-1313, second floor (stairs or elevator), plenty of parking.
FOOD: Buffet with three entrees: Apple Rum Pork, Chicken Marsala, Fresh Carved Roast Beef. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know. CASH BAR as usual.
COST: $40.00 per person. We need your reply and money by Sept. 6, 2023

Saturday, Sept. 16, after 5 pm

If the weather cooperates, your committee will bring snacks to take to the new Harrisburg Beach Club on City Island.  We will reserve space; the only thing you will have to pay for are your drinks.  Tom has volunteered to organize a miniature golf tournament at The Water Golf on City Island.

If the weather does NOT cooperate, we’ll stay at Dukes.  

Sunday, Sept. 17

We’ve talked to Fr. Mike McFadden and he will say the 9:30 Mass at St. Margaret Mary’s (2800 Paxton Church Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110) on Sunday.  Afterwards, we”ve reserved’ll have donuts & coffee in the pavilion next to the church.
